Strategic Move from ULUSKON to Georgia: Honey Summit

Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of ULUSKON (International Investment and Business Confederation) and a UN Goodwill Ambassador, held an important meeting with Archil Kalandia, Ambassador of Georgia to Ankara.

During the meeting, concrete steps to increase exports, imports, and overall trade volume between Turkey and Georgia were discussed. The parties exchanged views on strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, increasing mutual investment opportunities, and developing joint projects in new sectors.

The most striking topic of the meeting was honey trade. The introduction of Georgian honey—known for its quality and flavor—to Turkish businesspeople and the expansion of its investment market were brought to the agenda. Responding positively to Ambassador Kalandia’s call for cooperation on this matter, President Atasoy stated, “We are ready to provide all necessary support.”

Honey Summit from ULUSKON

As one of the concrete outcomes of the meeting, it was decided to organize a “Honey Summit Forum” in the spring with a delegation arriving from Georgia. At the summit, which will be held under the leadership of President Atasoy, the ULUSKON team will promote Georgian honey and present investment opportunities to businesspeople from both countries. Within the scope of the summit, B2B (bilateral business meetings) sessions will also be organized to establish direct commercial connections between Turkish and Georgian companies.

ULUSKON continues its contacts with the Georgian Embassy to enhance trade cooperation between the two countries and to implement the planned summit organization.
