A Great Pride for Türkiye

A Great Pride for Türkiye

Aslı Naz Atasoy achieved a significant success by being invited to The CID Awards 2026 (Commercial Interior Design), held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Together with the ANA Design team, Atasoy was honored with the “Interior Design of the Year: Events, Pop-Ups & Installations” award for their project “Traces of Musafir.” This achievement at one of the most prestigious international ceremonies organized by Commercial Interior Design became a great source of pride for Türkiye.

Led by Aslı Naz Atasoy and realized under the signature of ANA Design, this striking project interprets the transience of life through elements of light, shadow, and sound. Designed in a circular form, the space invites visitors to reflect on the impermanence of life’s journey. The gradual disappearance of footprints appearing on the floor symbolizes how the traces humans leave behind slowly fade into time.

Speaking about her project and the award, the successful architect stated:

“Traces of Musafir carries many meanings. Emotional. Personal. It tells the story of journey, transience, and the marks we leave behind. At the same time, it offers a space to reflect on the sustainability of the human life cycle—how we exist, how we transform, and how we return by leaving impacts beyond our physical presence. Hearing that the jury shared similar emotions and perspectives about the project was incredibly moving. Their appreciation made this journey even more meaningful. I am very happy to receive this award in Saudi Arabia as a Turkish architect.”

Atasoy’s achievement once again highlights the rising presence of Turkish architecture on the international stage.
