President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON), Nezaket Emine Atasoy, participated as a guest speaker on BloombergHT’s “Varlık Yönetimi” program. Under the title “Foreign Investors’ Perspective on Turkey,” the program offered a comprehensive assessment of Turkey’s international investment environment and cooperation opportunities.
The discussion focused particularly on investment and trade relations with African countries, Gulf region countries, and the People’s Republic of China. In this context, the interest of these countries in the Turkish economy, potential investment fields, and strategic steps to enhance mutual trade volume were addressed.
Mrs. Atasoy emphasized the importance, in the eyes of foreign investors, of Turkey’s strategic geographical location, developing infrastructure investments, young and dynamic workforce, regional logistics advantages, and political and economic stability. She also highlighted that various sectors such as energy, tourism, agriculture, industry, real estate, and technology present prominent opportunities for international investors.
Furthermore, the program examined the initiatives undertaken to strengthen Turkey’s economic cooperation potential with African and Gulf countries, including reciprocal trade delegations, investment forums, and diplomatic engagements, along with their economic outcomes. In the context of ongoing trade relations with China, attention was drawn to the projects developed within the scope of the Belt and Road Initiative, which contribute to Turkey’s goal of becoming a logistics hub.
In conclusion, the discussions underscored a significant vision for strengthening Turkey’s position in the global investment ecosystem, enhancing foreign investor confidence, and ensuring economic diversification.
