ESTONIA’S VICTORY DAY CELEBRATED WITH ENTHUSIASM IN ANKARA
ULUSKON PRESIDENT ATASOY ATTENDED THE CEREMONY AS GUEST OF HONOR
A distinguished reception was held in Ankara to mark Estonia’s Victory Day, hosted by Estonia’s Ambassador to Türkiye, H.E. Väino Reinart, and his spouse, Mrs. Kaire Jürgenson. The event brought together prominent members of the diplomatic community and featured the participation of Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, who attended as guest of honor.
Representing the Republic of Türkiye were Elif Kurşunlu, Director General for Relations with the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Simay Gümrükçü, President of the Solidarity Association of Spouses of Diplomats (DMEDD). Numerous foreign mission representatives and distinguished guests based in Ankara were also present at the event.
HIGHLIGHTING THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
The reception commenced with the national anthems of Estonia and Türkiye. In his opening address, Ambassador Reinart expressed his delight in celebrating the centenary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, commemorated in the previous year. He highlighted the enduring partnership rooted in mutual trust and friendship and conveyed his belief that these strong bilateral ties will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
PRESIDENT ATASOY: “WE ARE READY TO DEEPEN ECONOMIC COOPERATION”
On the occasion of the reception, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy held a private meeting with Ambassador Reinart, extending her congratulations on Estonia’s national day and reaffirming ULUSKON’s commitment to advancing Türkiye–Estonia economic relations. The discussion focused on expanding bilateral trade, promoting mutual investment opportunities, and initiating new areas of cooperation.
President Atasoy underscored ULUSKON’s readiness to actively contribute to economic and commercial partnerships with Estonia, stating, “We are fully prepared to undertake joint initiatives that will enable our business communities to play a more dynamic role in the global marketplace.”
