ULUSKON CONTINUES CONTACTS IN NORTHERN CYPRUS: JOINT MOVE IN INDUSTRY, TRADE, AND ENERGY The President of the International Investment and Business World Confederation (ULUSKON), Nezaket Emine Atasoy, along with her accompanying delegation, continued their contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on their second day without slowing down, as part of a special program prepared by the TRNC Ambassador to Ankara, İsmet Korukoğlu. On the second day of the visit, August 28, the ULUSKON delegation was received by key figures on the island in the fields of economy, industry, energy, and local government. During the meetings, joint investment strategies aimed at strengthening commercial ties between Türkiye and the TRNC on the ground, boosting local production and exports, and serving the development of both countries were discussed. In the first contact of the day, the delegation met with İrfan Yılmaz, Board Member of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, to evaluate industrial production, manufacturing capacity on the island, and potential production partnerships with Turkish industrialists. Subsequently received by Turgay Deniz, President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, the ULUSKON delegation addressed the expectations of the business world, free trade opportunities, and practical steps to rapidly increase the trade volume between the two countries. Holding a highly productive meeting with the TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy, Olgun Amcaoğlu, President Atasoy exchanged views on energy investments, economic incentives, and sustainable growth targets in the region. The final meeting of the day was hosted by Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar, during which local development, mobilizing regional potential, and commercial projects that could be carried out at the municipal level were discussed. Evaluating the contacts following the meetings, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy drew attention to Northern Cyprus's potential in industry, energy, and trade, stating that these receptions would deepen economic integration between the two countries. Atasoy emphasized that, as the Turkish business world, they are ready to support the TRNC's development push in every field, and that these concrete steps taken will translate into production, employment, and exports as soon as possible.
