Turkey and Uruguay cooperation meeting was held at ULUSKON

President Nezaket Atasoy and Uruguay Ambassador Hugo Arturo Cayrus Maurin, as well as business people who are experts in their fields, attended the meeting, which was attended by business people within ULUSKON. Business people participating in the meeting gave information about their sectors. Agriculture, tourism, economic and diplomatic relations were discussed in bilateral meetings.
'WE WANT TO INCREASE EXPORTS, IMPORTS AND INVESTMENTS BETWEEN TURKEY AND URUGUAY'
Before the meeting, Ambassador Hugo Arturo Cayrus Maurin and ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy briefly talked about their countries and the cooperation to be made. ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy, who made the opening speech at the meeting, said: "After the opening of the Uruguayan Embassy, I would like to say that we are honored to host you in our confederation ULUSKON, which has made a sound in Turkey and at the international level. As ULUSKON, we have done work that has shaped trade in many countries so far and I have no doubt that these will continue. We want to increase exports, imports and investments between Turkey and Uruguay. Uruguay is located in an important geography in terms of logistics in Latin America and its economy has a vibrant economy for this reason. The better establishment of democracy in the country and the provision of free economy conditions have a great impact on this growth. After the decision to cooperate between Turkey and Uruguay, especially in export, import and investment issues, we are planning a visit with the program of our Uruguay Ambassador together with the business people within ULUSKON."
'OUR GOAL IS TO COOPERATE AND INVEST MORE WITH TURKEY'
Ambassador Hugo Arturo Cayrus Maurin said, "First of all, thank you very much for your successful work as ULUSKON. There is a trade volume of 300 million dollars between Turkey and Uruguay and we want to increase this number even more. We have come to the conclusion that there is a great commercial potential in Turkey, so our goal is to cooperate and invest more. As in Uruguay, we have opened our Embassy in Ankara and I would like to state that our door is always open for you." The Ambassador continued: "In Uruguay, democratic values and an independent judiciary are of utmost importance and therefore a reassurance to countries that want to do business with us. We believe that the tourism sector as well as other sectors should develop and we will cooperate in this regard."

After the meeting, President Nezaket Emine Atasoy presented a plaque to Ambassador Maurin on behalf of ULUSKON. Ambassador Maurin, in turn, presented President Atasoy with a handcrafted card holder prepared by the organization named 'Hands of Uruguay' formed by the entrepreneur women of Uruguay. The meeting ended after the gift presentation.
