TRADE RELATIONS BETWEEN TUNISIA AND TURKEY TO GAIN NEW MOMENTUM WITH ULUSKON

The President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Nezaket Emine Atasoy, visited the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Ankara and held a meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Ben Sghaier. The meeting addressed key topics such as increasing trade volume between the two countries, expanding areas of cooperation, and planning future joint projects.

 ULUSKON AND THE TUNISIAN DELEGATION DISCUSS NEW TRADE RELATIONS

During the meeting, Tunisian Ambassador Sghaier noted that as of 2024, the trade volume between Turkey and Tunisia had reached $1.5 billion but remained relatively low compared to other countries. He expressed Tunisia's desire to contribute to increasing this figure through cooperation with ULUSKON. “We are ready for all kinds of cooperation with ULUSKON to further strengthen the relations between our two countries,” he stated. This visit is considered a significant step toward deepening economic relations between Turkey and Tunisia.

ATASOY: A PRODUCTIVE MEETING

In her opening remarks, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy emphasized their commitment to taking strong steps to boost trade, exports, and investments between Turkey and Tunisia. She also highlighted their goal of organizing a large-scale trade summit in Tunisia with businesspeople under the ULUSKON umbrella. Tunisian Ambassador Sghaier, in turn, pointed out Turkey’s growing economy and stressed that increasing trade between the two countries would bring mutual benefits. It was noted that sectors such as tourism, the food industry, healthcare, and construction hold significant potential for collaboration.

AMBASSADOR SGHAIER INVITES ULUSKON DELEGATION TO TUNISIA

Tunisian Ambassador Ahmed Ben Sghaier expressed his great pleasure in welcoming ULUSKON and Nezaket Emine Atasoy to Tunisia. He stated that they would be honored to host Atasoy along with ULUSKON-affiliated businesspeople at the international fair and Africa investment forum set to take place in Tunisia in May. Additionally, ULUSKON and the Tunisian Embassy announced plans to carry out joint efforts to implement future projects and strengthen cooperation.
