During the meeting, Tunisian Ambassador Sghaier noted that as of 2024, the trade volume between Turkey and Tunisia had reached $1.5 billion but remained relatively low compared to other countries. He expressed Tunisia's desire to contribute to increasing this figure through cooperation with ULUSKON. “We are ready for all kinds of cooperation with ULUSKON to further strengthen the relations between our two countries,” he stated. This visit is considered a significant step toward deepening economic relations between Turkey and Tunisia.

In her opening remarks, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy emphasized their commitment to taking strong steps to boost trade, exports, and investments between Turkey and Tunisia. She also highlighted their goal of organizing a large-scale trade summit in Tunisia with businesspeople under the ULUSKON umbrella. Tunisian Ambassador Sghaier, in turn, pointed out Turkey’s growing economy and stressed that increasing trade between the two countries would bring mutual benefits. It was noted that sectors such as tourism, the food industry, healthcare, and construction hold significant potential for collaboration.
