REPUBLIC DAY MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT ATASOY

ATASOY: A CENTURY OF PRIDE

The President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Nezaket Emine Atasoy stated that Republic Day on October 29 is the clearest expression of the Turkish nation’s unwavering commitment to unity, independence, and freedom.

PRESIDENT ATASOY ISSUES A STATEMENT ON THE 101st ANNIVERSARY OF OUR REPUBLIC

In her statement, President of ULUSKON and UN Goodwill Ambassador Nezaket Emine Atasoy said: “We celebrate the 101st anniversary of our Republic with great pride, enthusiasm, and excitement. The Republic is the victorious outcome of the independence struggle undertaken by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our forebears, driven by a love of country and a passion for independence after much suffering. It represents our nation’s declaration of its belief in independence and freedom on the world stage. This step taken on that day is not just a form of governance but a guarantee of the honorable future of a free nation and a statement that sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the people. This value has been the fundamental principle that has kept the Turkish Republic standing for 101 years.”

THE REPUBLIC IS THE SYMBOL OF OUR INDEPENDENCE

Emphasizing that the Republic is a symbol of our commitment to justice, equality, modernity, and human dignity, President Atasoy said: “Inspired by Atatürk’s words, “My humble body will surely turn to dust one day, but the Republic of Türkiye will live on forever,” this trust will continue to rise on our shoulders with the same faith and determination by preserving our national unity and solidarity; it will also endure forever in the hands of future generations. Today, it is our duty to advance our Republic, which is the fruit of great sacrifices, and to continue working with the spirit of unity and solidarity.”

“WE MUST WORK WITH THIS AWARENESS IN EACH FIELD”

“With a strong army, a strong Türkiye’s greatest formula is our nation’s unity and solidarity,” said Atasoy, and continued: “Unfortunately, as in the past, there are still attempts to hinder our country’s development. The treacherous attack at TUSAŞ is an attempt by those disturbed by the strengthening of our defense industry. The struggle for independence and freedom since the founding of our Republic continues today with our advancements in the defense industry. As ULUSKON, we work with this understanding to increase our country’s trade volume with other nations. With these thoughts and feelings, I respectfully commemorate all our martyrs who have reached the rank of martyrdom for our homeland, nation, and sacred values, starting with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, and his comrades-in-arms, and I extend my gratitude to our veterans. Happy Republic Day.”
