PRESIDENT ATASOY: TRADE VOLUME WITH KYRGYZSTAN WILL INCREASE
TARGET: 2 BILLION DOLLARS
The President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Nezaket Emine Atasoy highlighted that the trade volume between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan increased by 45.6% in 2023, reaching $1.3 billion. The target for 2024 is to reach $2 billion.
ULUSKON AND KYRGYZSTAN DELEGATION DISCUSS NEW TRADE RELATIONS
During a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic’s Embassy in Ankara, President Atasoy met with Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev. This meeting focused on strengthening economic cooperation and trade relations between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan. Ambassador Kazakbaev expressed Kyrgyzstan’s openness to collaboration, especially in energy, construction, and agriculture sectors.
PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH ULUSKON REPRESENTATION IN KYRGYZSTAN
Ambassador Kazakbaev proposed the establishment of a ULUSKON representative office in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing that it would be a significant step in enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries. He stated, “We are ready to collaborate with ULUSKON to further expand the relationship between our countries.”
PRESIDENT ATASOY: A PRODUCTIVE MEETING
President Atasoy described the meeting with the Kyrgyz Ambassador as highly productive, stating, “We will continue our efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The trade volume between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan reached $1.3 billion in 2023, an increase of 45.6%, and the target for 2024 is $2 billion. As ULUSKON, we are determined to work toward achieving this goal.”
