Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, attended the reception for the 60th Independence Day of the Republic of Zambia as the guest of honor. The event was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Ankara. During the reception, various bilateral meetings were held to further strengthen cooperation between Türkiye and Zambia.

60TH INDEPENDENCE DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAMBIA CELEBRATED

On October 24, Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON), attended the celebration of the Republic of Zambia’s 60th Independence Day. Representing the Republic of Türkiye, Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan also attended the event, alongside representatives of foreign missions in Ankara. he celebration commenced with the national anthems of Türkiye and Zambia, followed by an opening speech from His Excellency William Maipambe Sikazwe, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Ankara.

During her bilateral meetings following the reception, Atasoy highlighted the strong, ongoing relationships in the commercial and economic fields between the two countries and emphasized the importance of further strengthening connections among businesspeople in various sectors.
