NEW COMMERCIAL STEPS BETWEEN TURKEY AND CHINA DISCUSSED DURING ULUSKON PRESIDENT NEZAKET EMİNE ATASOY’S VISIT TO THE CHINESE EMBASSY

A VISIT THAT EXCITED THE BUSINESS WORLD

Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ankara to congratulate His Excellency Ambassador Xuebin Jiang on his appointment to Turkey and wished him success in his new role.

COOPERATION TO BE FURTHER STRENGTHENED

During the meeting, strategic collaborations aimed at increasing the trade volume between Turkey and China were discussed. While exchanging ideas on deepening the economic relations between the two countries, the parties emphasized the need to strengthen mutual cooperation potential in various sectors, particularly defense industry, technology, renewable energy, and infrastructure and superstructure projects. The importance of increasing the bilateral export and import volume was also highlighted.

PRESIDENT ATASOY: WE AIM TO BUILD PERMANENT BRIDGES

Speaking during the visit, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy emphasized the importance of international trade relations in advancing Turkey’s economic growth, stating, “China is a strategically important trade partner for Turkey. As ULUSKON, we are ready for all kinds of cooperation to establish permanent and sustainable commercial bridges between the two countries.”

AMBASSADOR XUEBIN JIANG: WE ARE READY FOR NEW INITIATIVES

His Excellency Xuebin Jiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ankara, highlighted Turkey’s rising economic potential and noted that as of 2024, the trade volume between the two countries had reached 4.8 billion USD. He pointed out that there is great potential for cooperation, particularly in the fields of technology, energy, and construction, and expressed their readiness to work closely with Turkey in these sectors.

This meeting marked a significant step toward further strengthening existing economic relations between Turkey and China and aims to pave the way for new collaborations.
