Moldovan Breeze at ULUSKON: Economic Partnership Expands

The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ankara, Oleg Serebrian, visited Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, at the ULUSKON Headquarters. During the meeting, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding strengthening the economic relations between the two countries.

Health Tourism and Increasing Trade Volume Discussed

Ambassador Serebrian stated during the visit that the trade volume between Turkey and Moldova is far below its potential, emphasizing the need to initiate a new era of cooperation in this field. Highlighting that health tourism offers a strategic development opportunity for both countries, Serebrian said, “We see great potential for rapid progress in cooperation between Moldova and Turkey in the field of health services.”

ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy noted that Turkey’s health tourism infrastructure is considered a model by many countries and expressed their readiness to develop concrete projects with Moldova in this area. Atasoy stated, “As ULUSKON, we are ready to take all necessary steps to expand cooperation with Moldova in all commercial fields, especially health tourism.”

Atasoy: “We Are Determined to Further Advance Economic Relations”

Atasoy emphasized the need to improve the export–import balance between the two countries and announced plans to create new platforms that would bring together the Moldovan business community and the Turkish private sector.

Ambassador Serebrian thanked Atasoy for her kind hospitality and said, “We are determined to take the economic ties between Moldova and Turkey to a higher level through new projects and mutual investments.”

Two Countries to Continue Joint Efforts

The visit concluded with messages of goodwill. President Atasoy stressed that ULUSKON will continue implementing projects that contribute to the shared economic goals of Turkey and Moldova. Both parties agreed to deepen cooperation through joint working groups and sectoral programs to be organized in the coming period.
