Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of ULUSKON and Goodwill Ambassador of the International Human Rights Defense Committee (IHRDC), issued a message to commemorate the 86th anniversary of the passing of Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
In her message, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy expressed the great honor she feels as a devoted and determined protector of Atatürk's principles and reforms, stating, “The Republic of Turkey, founded by Atatürk, will never lose its nature as a democratic, secular, and social state of law. Atatürk will always remain one of the greatest figures in the history of our nation. Beloved child of the Turkish nation, Atatürk, rest in peace in your eternal resting place. The Republic of Turkey, which you called 'my greatest masterpiece,' is entrusted to us. You became a leader not only for the Turkish nation but also for oppressed nations around the world, as they achieved independence by following your example. You are the great Atatürk who showed the world that a nation can uphold its honor and dignity and become a modern and exemplary republic, writing this in history with golden letters. You will live forever in the hearts of your people. On behalf of our nation, I remember with respect, gratitude, and mercy Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the great commander, statesman, founder of the Republic of Turkey, and hero of our National Struggle, on the 86th anniversary of his passing. Since November 10, 1938, we miss you more than ever and understand you better. May your soul rest in peace.”
