MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED BETWEEN ULUSKON AND THE GAMBIA INVESTMENT AND EXPORT PROMOTION AGENCY
PRESIDENT ATASOY RETURNED WITH GOOD NEWS
The President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, Nezaket Emine Atasoy, returned from her visit to The Gambia with exciting news. Announcing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) in Banjul, President Atasoy emphasized that the trade cooperation between the two countries will grow even stronger.
SIGNATURES FOR COLLABORATION
The ULUSKON delegation, led by President Nezaket Emine Atasoy, visited Banjul from January 6 to 9, engaging in significant discussions. As part of the visit, a meeting was held with GIEPA to promote the development of exports, imports, and investments between Türkiye and The Gambia. The delegation met with Ousainou Senghore, Chief Executive Officer of the Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency. Following the meeting, the MoU was signed by Chairman Ousainou Senghore and President Nezaket Emine Atasoy.
THE MEMORANDUM COVERS KEY SECTORS
Chairman Ousainou Senghore expressed The Gambia's openness to cooperation, particularly in the fields of agriculture, construction, road construction, energy, road-building facilities and machinery, and tourism, through businesspeople arriving in The Gambia via ULUSKON. He also expressed his honor in hosting Nezaket Emine Atasoy in The Gambia and assured his full support for the memorandum.
PRESIDENT ATASOY HIGHLIGHTED NEW INITIATIVES
President Nezaket Emine Atasoy highlighted ULUSKON's role as a solution partner for strengthening trade relations between the two countries and affirmed their readiness for all forms of cooperation. She emphasized that ULUSKON would provide guidance to Turkish businesspeople interested in investing in The Gambia.
AMBASSADOR EXPRESSED SATISFACTION WITH THE MEMORANDUM
The Turkish Ambassador to Banjul, Fahri Türker Oba, expressed his satisfaction with the MoU between GIEPA and ULUSKON, stating: "I firmly believe this memorandum will give a significant boost to trade between the two countries, and our embassy will provide support in every way possible."
Nezaket Emine Atasoy extended her appreciation to The Gambia’s Ambassador to Ankara, Alkali Fanka Conteh, and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Banjul, Fahri Türker Oba, for their contributions to the visit to The Gambia. She concluded by saying: "With the MoU we have signed with The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency, we aim to pave the way for the development of trade between the two countries."
