Burundi Embassy at ULUSKON: Coffee, Trade, and Direct Flights on the Agenda
Didace Ntureka, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Ankara, paid a visit to Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, at ULUSKON’s Headquarters. During the meeting, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding the development of economic relations between Türkiye and Burundi.
Export–Import and Burundi Coffee on the Table
The visit addressed new areas of cooperation to increase the export–import volume between the two countries. One of the prominent topics of the meeting was the import of world-renowned Burundi coffee into Türkiye and its more effective promotion in the Turkish market. Emphasizing that cooperation in agricultural products offers significant opportunities for both economies, ULUSKON President Atasoy stated, “We will take the necessary initiatives to ensure that Burundi coffee reaches a wider audience in Türkiye.”
ULUSKON Takes Steps Toward Direct Flights
The launch of direct flights between Türkiye and Burundi was also discussed. Pointing out that direct flights would create strong momentum for trade and tourism, Atasoy said, “As ULUSKON, we are ready to take all necessary steps in this regard.” The Ambassador noted that strengthening transportation networks would contribute to the multidimensional development of bilateral relations.
“We Will Further Strengthen Economic Ties”
The visit concluded with mutual messages of goodwill. While ULUSKON President Atasoy underlined that they would continue to implement projects to further advance economic relations between Türkiye and Burundi, both sides agreed to swiftly establish joint working groups and sectoral collaborations.
