ATASOY: WE ARE PURSUING OUR EFFORTS WITH DETERMINATION

On the occasion of Europe Day, the European Union Delegation to Turkey organized a digital photography exhibition and reception titled "Our Common Heritage" on May 8 at CerModern in Ankara. During the event, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON), Mrs. Nezaket Emine Atasoy, held talks with the Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Mr. Thomas Hans Ossowski, and stated they are steadfastly continuing their efforts to strengthen commercial ties between Turkey and the European Union.

STRONG ATTENDANCE FROM DIPLOMATIC AND PUBLIC CIRCLES

The digital photography exhibition and reception titled "Our Common Heritage", held on May 8 at CerModern in Ankara by the EU Delegation to Turkey to mark Europe Day, attracted significant attention from both diplomatic representatives and the wider public. Notable attendees included Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Mr. Zeki Levent Gümrükçü, Head of the EU Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Mr. Thomas Hans Ossowski, Mayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mr. Mansur Yavaş, ambassadors and diplomats from various foreign missions, as well as numerous distinguished guests.

OSSOWSKI: EU–TURKEY RELATIONS ARE GAINING NEW MOMENTUM

Delivering the opening speech, Ambassador Ossowski highlighted the significance of the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, which laid the groundwork for European integration. He noted that the European Union currently comprises 27 member states and reaffirmed that Turkey remains a candidate country. While acknowledging that EU–Turkey relations had been stagnant for some time, he underlined that new momentum is being generated. During his bilateral meeting with ULUSKON President Mrs. Atasoy, Ambassador Ossowski also drew attention to the robust trade volume between Turkey and EU countries, noting that Turkey is among the Union’s most important trading partners..

PRESIDENT ATASOY: WE ARE READY TO CONTRIBUTE TO FUTURE INITIATIVES

In her remarks, ULUSKON President Atasoy emphasized the importance of fostering strong collaboration between Turkey and Europe:

"Concrete steps that help build bridges between Turkey and Europe will enhance future opportunities for investment and cooperation. As ULUSKON, we are ready to contribute to such initiatives. We will continue our determined efforts to support our country in establishing stronger connections in the fields of foreign policy, trade, and investment. "
