A New Era in Turkey–Morocco Trade: Volume to Be Increased
Mohammed Ali Lazreq, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Turkey, paid a visit to Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, at ULUSKON’s headquarters. During the meeting, the parties discussed increasing the trade volume between Turkey and Morocco and bringing new investment opportunities to life.
The visit addressed strengthening import–export balances between the two countries, encouraging more frequent meetings among business representatives, and taking concrete steps toward mutual investment projects. The importance of ULUSKON’s role as a “bridge institution” in this process was emphasized.
ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy underlined that the existing potential of Turkey–Morocco commercial relations can be taken much further, stating:
“There is a strong friendship and cooperation between Turkey and Morocco that dates back many years. As ULUSKON, we want to expand this friendship through concrete projects in the real sector. We will continue to take an active role together with our business community in steps that will increase trade volume and pave the way for our investors.”
Delegation Invitation: “We Want to Further Expand Cooperation with ULUSKON”
Ambassador Mohammed Ali Lazreq noted that they closely follow ULUSKON’s activities and stated that Turkey–Morocco cooperation will deepen further across different sectors. Lazreq said:
“As the Kingdom of Morocco, we have been cooperating with ULUSKON in every field for many years. I invite Ms. Atasoy and ULUSKON member businesspeople to Morocco. We would be honored to host you within the scope of a delegation visit.”
The Ambassador emphasized that a planned delegation visit would open the door to new partnerships in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, and industry.
The visit concluded with mutual messages of goodwill and a shared determination to strengthen economic relations between Turkey and Morocco.
