“28 MAY – AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC INDEPENDENCE DAY” OFFICIALLY CELEBRATED IN ANKARA
The 107th anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s independence was officially celebrated in Ankara with a special ceremony held at the Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center. The event saw high-level participation from the Turkish state protocol and distinguished guests.
Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Ankara Rashad Mammadov, along with heads of foreign missions, diplomatic representatives, academics, business leaders, and numerous guests attended the event. A delegation from the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) was also present on this meaningful day for Azerbaijan.
The program commenced with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey, followed by speeches delivered by Vice President Yılmaz, Minister Ersoy, and Ambassador Mammadov. In their addresses, the speakers underscored the profound significance of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, emphasizing the enduring strategic cooperation, fraternal ties, and shared historical and cultural heritage between the two nations.
Following the official ceremony, a concert celebrating the themes of friendship and brotherhood was performed by artists from both Turkey and Azerbaijan. The performances were met with enthusiastic applause, further strengthening the cultural bonds between the two countries.
This celebratory program once again affirmed the deep-rooted friendship and strategic partnership between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
