ULUSKON Organizes the “International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit” in Kastamonu
Diplomatic Participation from 15 Embassies
The International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON), with the support of the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kastamonu Commodity Exchange, organized the “International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit” in Kastamonu.
Held on July 28 at Park Dedeman Kastamonu Hotel, the Summit brought together ambassadors, diplomats, and economic representatives from 15 embassies and diplomatic missions. The event was also attended by Deputy Governor of Kastamonu Hakan Kubalı, President of the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Oğuz Fındıkoğlu, Deputy Head of Mission of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Souror Al MUTAİRİ, representatives of the Kastamonu business community, public institutions, and local and international guests.
As part of the protocol speeches, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Oğuz Fındıkoğlu, Deputy Governor of Kastamonu Hakan Kubalı, and Deputy Head of Mission of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Souror Al MUTAİRİ, shared their assessments on regional and international economic cooperation.
Speaking at the Summit, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy emphasized the importance of international engagement in strengthening Türkiye’s regional and global economic relations, highlighting the need to promote the potential of the Western Black Sea region more effectively to the international community and global business world.
Emphasizing that the Summit was more than simply a meeting, Atasoy noted that bringing diplomatic representatives from different countries together with the business community of Kastamonu and the Western Black Sea region created an important opportunity for establishing new commercial relations. She stated, “We are very pleased to welcome distinguished participants from 15 embassies and diplomatic missions to Kastamonu. Such gatherings are of great importance for developing economic relations between countries, evaluating mutual investment opportunities, and establishing sustainable trade partnerships. We will continue our efforts to ensure that Kastamonu and the Western Black Sea region have a stronger presence on the international investment and trade agenda.”
During the Summit, participants exchanged views on increasing the export capacity of Kastamonu and the Western Black Sea region, evaluating international investment opportunities, establishing new commercial connections, and promoting the region’s tourism potential internationally.
The International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit, organized by ULUSKON, was regarded as an important platform for strengthening Kastamonu’s international economic and diplomatic relations and enabling the region to become more actively integrated into global investment networks.
