ULUSKON President Atasoy: "Atatürk's light will illuminate our path forever."
Nezaket Emine Atasoy, the General President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, issued a commemorative message on the 87th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
In her message, ULUSKON President Nezaket Emine Atasoy stated that the War of Independence won under Atatürk's leadership and the Republic of Turkey established thereafter serve as an example for all nations in the pursuit of independence and modernity. She said, "Atatürk is not only a common value and source of inspiration for the Turkish nation but for all humanity. The Republic he built on the foundations of reason, science, and freedom is our greatest legacy. Our duty today is to walk resolutely along the path of modern civilization that Atatürk showed us and to pass on his principles to future generations."
Atasoy emphasized that Atatürk's principles and reforms are being understood better each day, stating, "I commemorate our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with respect, gratitude, and longing on the 87th anniversary of his departure. His words, 'My humble body will one day turn to dust; however, the Republic of Turkey will stand forever,' continue to guide us. Atatürk's light will always shine in the heart of this nation; his ideas and works will live on forever. May his soul be at peace, and his place be in paradise."
