Nezaket Emine Atasoy: “The Republic is not a vision written for the past, but the most courageous vision written for the future.”

Nezaket Emine Atasoy, President of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON) and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, released a message on the occasion of the October 29 Republic Day, stating that the Republic is not only a historical milestone but also a vision of the future rewritten by every generation.

Atasoy said, “Republic Day is not a day for boasting about the past, but for looking to the future with responsibility. The Republic founded by Atatürk is a civilization project that will rise on the shoulders of women, youth, and science. We are obliged not only to preserve this legacy but also to recreate it.”

Emphasizing that Turkey is moving decisively into its second century in the 102nd year of the Republic, Atasoy stated, “Atatürk’s vision was not only to reach the level of contemporary civilization, but to build a society of intellect and production that would surpass it. Today, from digital transformation to environmental awareness, from women’s entrepreneurship to international solidarity, we are working to keep this vision alive.”

Highlighting that the true strength of the Republic comes from social unity, Atasoy said, “The Republic is a shared covenant inscribed in the heart of the nation; it is the greatest common ground that unites us beyond our differences. As ULUSKON, we continue to foster this spirit of unity in the fields of business, economy, and diplomacy.”

Nezaket Emine Atasoy concluded her message with the following words:
“The Republic was born in 1923, but in 2023 and beyond, it continues to gain new meaning every day. Atatürk’s principles and reforms are a universal light that guides not only the past but also the future. On this occasion, I commemorate with gratitude and respect Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, his comrades-in-arms, and our revered martyrs, and I wholeheartedly celebrate our nation’s Republic Day on October 29.”
