First Counsellor Asghar Omidi of Iran Addressed the International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit
Organized under the leadership of ULUSKON in cooperation with the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Kastamonu Commodity Exchange, the International Western Black Sea Economic Cooperation Summit, held in Kastamonu on 28–30 July 2026, brought together diplomatic representatives from various countries, public institutions, and members of the business community on a common platform. On the first day of the summit, the panel titled "Global Trade and Regional Cooperation Opportunities from the Perspectives of Ambassadors" addressed opportunities for advancing international trade and strengthening regional economic cooperation.
During the panel, First Counsellor Asghar Omidi of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Türkiye, shared his views on further developing the economic and commercial relations between Türkiye and Iran. Emphasizing the importance of strengthening the existing trade relations between the two countries through new areas of cooperation, Omidi highlighted opportunities for expanding bilateral trade and economic partnerships. His remarks were followed with great interest by diplomatic representatives and members of the business community attending the summit.
