Economic Summit in Riyadh: Message of Cooperation from ULUSKON
A New Era Begins in Türkiye–Saudi Arabia Trade Relations
ULUSKON (International Investment and Business Confederation) President and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Nezaket Emine Atasoy held significant meetings during her visit to Riyadh. Her discussions drew attention as they aimed to further advance the economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
As part of her visit, President Atasoy met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Riyadh, Emrullah İşler, at his office. During the meeting, the parties discussed increasing the volume of imports and exports between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, utilizing the existing trade potential more effectively, and encouraging mutual investments. Particular emphasis was placed on bringing together business communities more actively and supporting joint projects.
The parties agreed to strengthen communication channels and enhance institutional cooperation to ensure the sustainable growth of economic relations between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, a decision was made to develop new partnerships, and President Atasoy extended an invitation to Ambassador İşler to visit Türkiye as a gesture of goodwill to continue mutual engagement.
As part of her Riyadh program, Atasoy also held meetings with officials from the Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Housing, and the Ministry of Health. During these engagements, potential joint projects were evaluated in various sectors, particularly construction, healthcare, investment, and services. Steps to enable Turkish businesspeople to take a more active role in the Saudi market were also discussed.
In her statement during the visit, President Atasoy said, “We are ready to support our businesspeople who wish to operate in Saudi Arabia,” emphasizing that ULUSKON will continue to provide all possible contributions to the Turkish business community. She also underlined that strengthening economic ties between the two countries would create significant opportunities at both regional and global levels.
