A New Era in Türkiye–UAE Trade: Critical Meeting at ULUSKON
Amna Alhosani, the Commercial Attaché of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), paid a visit to the headquarters of the International Investment and Business Confederation (ULUSKON), where she met with the President of ULUSKON and a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador. The visit was regarded as an important step toward strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
During the bilateral meeting, the current trade volume between Türkiye and the UAE, the balance of exports and imports, and mutual investment opportunities were discussed in detail. The parties emphasized the need to further advance the growing economic relations in recent years and stated that cooperation could be enhanced in many sectors, particularly industry, logistics, food, and retail.
The meeting also highlighted the need for concrete steps to increase the presence of the Turkish business community in the UAE market, to encourage more UAE investors to engage in projects in Türkiye, and to establish sustainable trade bridges between the two countries. In this context, evaluations were made regarding the organization of joint business forums, reciprocal visits by trade delegations, and the expansion of sector-specific meetings.
ULUSKON President Atasoy underlined that Türkiye is a regional hub with its production capacity, strategic geographical location, and export strength, noting that strong trade partnerships with the UAE offer significant opportunities for both countries. Amna Alhosani, on the other hand, emphasized the UAE’s investor-friendly policies and its strategic role in global trade, expressing their willingness to build closer cooperation with Turkish businesspeople.
At the end of the visit, ULUSKON President Atasoy presented Amna Alhosani with a set of doormats and a teapot from his own brand, NEA. During the gift exchange, both sides expressed their goodwill and their belief that cooperation would continue to strengthen in the coming period.
